“From everywhere you look on campus,” says district principal Cherisse Baatin, “you see this structure rising and it’s very exciting.” The new structure houses four separate classrooms, providing space for Bayside students in grades Kindergarten, first, and second. “It will be their own special world. A welcoming, and safe environment for our youngest students." The K-Pod’s ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on May 20, 2008. The multi-purpose room is currently undergoing a modernization effort and completion is scheduled for April 2009. |
Meanwhile at the New 200 Phillips Drive Campus...Construction is complete for the new Martin Luther King, Jr. Academy Middle School. In February of 2010, this 21,621-square-foot, two-story structure, accepted the first class of students in grades six through eight. The school is comprised of six classrooms, a science lab, a large multipurpose room, and administrative offices. The Growing Great Marin City Inter-generational Garden Project is located on the grounds. |
