Measure I - Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee

The Sausalito Marin City School District thanks you for your support in the passage of Measure I, for the enhancement of the District's facilities, for the delivery of education. The District must comply with statutes governing Measure I including a Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee.

The duties and responsibilities of the committee are as follows:

1. Performance Audit - Review the annual performance audit of the Bond funds prepared by the District's Auditor to ensure that bond funds are expended in accordance with the Bond Measure. With the Auditor, report to the Board of Trustees on the findings of the performance audit, including recommendations as needed.

2. Financial Audit - Review the annual financial audit on the sale and expenditure of bonds prepared by the District's Auditor to ensure that the allocation of funds are in line with the overall Facilities Master Plan outlined in the Bond presentation. With the Auditor, report to the Board of Trustees on the financial audit, including recommendations as needed.

3. Audit Firm - Evaluate the performance of the audit firm contracted to perform audits, including recommendations to the firm and the Board of Trustees as needed.

4. Final Report - Prepare a final report to the Board of Trustees at the completion of the modernization effort.

The Citizens' Oversight Committee currently accepting applications to fill the following positions:
1. A parent/guardian from Bayside Elementary.
2. A parent/guardian from Martin Luther King, Jr. Academy.
3. A parent/guardian from Willow Creek Academy.

Applications must be received at the SMCSD office located at 630 Nevada Street, Sausalito, CA 94965.
